Alachua County Public Schools is mailing notices to all families in the district informing them of approved boundary changes, even those whose children are unaffected. Over recent months, the school board voted to close, rezone, or reassign certain schools, and officials estimate roughly 3,200 students — about 13 percent of projected enrollment — will experience changes for the coming school year.
