As the No. 5 seed in the 2026 SEC Baseball Tournament, the Gators received a first-round bye and are not scheduled to take the field until Wednesday, May 20 (Game 6 of the second round, approximately 1–2 p.m. ET on SEC Network). Their opponent will be the winner of Tuesday's first-round matchup between No. 12 Vanderbilt and No. 13 Kentucky. Tuesday's four first-round games — Ole Miss vs. Missouri, Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky, Tennessee vs. South Carolina, and LSU vs. Oklahoma — are the only contests on the May 19 slate at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. Florida walks off Kentucky 7-6 on Jones single, extends win streak to four

No. 13/21 Florida completed one of its biggest comebacks of the season Friday night at Condron Family Ballpark, rallying from a five-run deficit to beat Kentucky 7-6 on a walk-off single by Kyle Jones in the bottom of the ninth. <cite index="1-3">Florida erased the five-run hole in the eighth inning, with a bases-clearing double by Brendan Lawson providing the key blow, before Jones delivered a walk-off single to finish the comeback</cite> — a result that <cite index="1-1">kept the Gators' four-game win streak alive.</cite> The game was delayed three hours by weather before <cite index="1-18">getting underway at 9:30 p.m.</cite>

Hurricanes blank Deltona again, 6-0, advance to 5A regional semis

Gainesville's Purple Hurricanes made it two wins over Deltona in eight days on Thursday, May 7, shutting out the Wolves 6-0 at Boulware Ballpark in a dominant FHSAA Class 5A-Region 2 Quarterfinal. The result extended Gainesville's winning streak and sent the Hurricanes deep into the state playoffs for the third straight year, this time without surrendering a single run to a Deltona team they had just edged in a 7-6 thriller for the district title.
