Ginnie Springs tightens alcohol rules for Memorial Day weekend

Ginnie Springs has updated its alcohol and open-container policies, now restricting drinking to designated campsites only, ahead of Memorial Day weekend. The changes come two years after two separate fatal shootings at the popular High Springs swimming destination. Gilchrist County Sheriff’s deputies said they are not providing on-site security at the springs but will have additional patrols across the county during the holiday.
