Gainesville Planned Parenthood to close June 26, citing declining patient volume

The Gainesville Planned Parenthood health center will permanently shut down on June 26, with patients able to access services and request medical records until that date. The organization’s president cited a need to align clinic locations with shifts in patient volume across Florida communities. The closure follows the shuttering of a Lakeland location in March and leaves 14 Planned Parenthood sites operating in the state.
