Veterans in the North Central Florida region are building support networks centered on mental health awareness and honoring those lost to suicide. The effort comes amid a national crisis reflected in federal data showing an average of 17.5 veteran suicides per day in 2023, according to the 2025 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report.
