A 68-year-old Alachua woman died Friday afternoon after a sedan struck her on County Road 241 near Northwest 83rd Lane, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Jacksonville, remained at the scene, and the pedestrian was pronounced dead there.
