
A 19-year-old man who was bitten by an alligator while snorkeling at Rainbow River over the weekend has been released from the hospital, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers. The roughly eight-foot alligator was later located and euthanized. The river, which had been temporarily closed following the attack, has since reopened to the public.
