Humane Society of North Central Florida seeks emergency dog fosters as heat closes kennels

The Humane Society of North Central Florida has shut down its primary dog kennel area due to extreme heat, relocating more than 30 dogs to climate-controlled spaces inside the shelter. The move has strained the facility’s capacity, and officials are urging community members to foster dogs so that kennel space can be freed up for incoming animals.
