Four candidates vie for Alachua County Commission District 2 at UF forum

Four Democratic candidates seeking the open Alachua County Commission District 2 seat appeared at a candidate forum at the University of Florida on June 28. Because no Republican filed for the seat, the winner of the August 18 primary will automatically become the next District 2 commissioner. Candidates including Donna Bradbrook and Charlie Jackson addressed topics such as local home rule, natural resource protection, and economic development.
