Fourth of July celebrations, fireworks set across North Central Florida

The region is marking the nation’s 250th anniversary with a range of holiday events over the July 4th weekend. Alachua County festivities include a large fireworks display at Legacy Park, a downtown Newberry parade, and a concert with fireworks at UF’s Flavet Field. A ‘Defending Democracy’ concert is also scheduled for July Fourth at Bo Diddley Plaza in Gainesville.
