Gainesville seeks public input on three finalists for GPD fence artwork

The city’s Cultural Affairs Division has narrowed a public art competition to three finalists, with the winning piece to be installed on a section of fence near the Gainesville Police Department’s new Property and Evidence Building on Northwest Sixth Street. Residents can view the proposals and submit feedback online through July 31, and a free poster exhibition opens July 17 at the A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center. Public comments will be factored into the final selection made by the Art in Public Places Trust.
