Newberry commissioners unanimously approve 500-home ‘Country Way 2’ development

Newberry’s city commission gave unanimous final approval to the “Country Way 2” residential development, which will add 500 homes across 160 acres near Southwest 15th Avenue over the next 12 years. The vote rezones the land from agricultural to residential use, continuing a growth pattern established when the original Country Way project was approved in 2023.
