Gainesville officer hospitalized after striking Marion County school bus

A Gainesville police officer sustained broken bones and lacerations after rear-ending a Marion County school bus Friday morning near the Marion Ranch neighborhood, according to investigators. A student, the bus driver, and a bus aide were also transported to the hospital. Authorities noted the bus had its stop signs deployed and warning lights activated at the time of the crash.
