Pop-punk’s second life rolls into Signal on Friday, May 29 with four bands onto the night: Lifted Riffs from Jacksonville, AITA from Baltimore, The 91’s from Orlando, and SWANYX. None of the touring acts on the bill existed before 2023. That is the appeal, not a complaint.

Lifted Riffs headline. The trio dropped their debut single “Green” in September 2023 and have been working since to drag Jacksonville’s scene back into the light. Frontman Benjamin Hudnall told Folio Weekly last May that he built the band in the shape of Blink-182 or Green Day on purpose: three members, three jobs, each one findable in the song. Bassist Joseph Howard and drummer Dallon Kraus round out the lineup. Newer single “Say Something” cleans up the rough edges of the early stuff without sanding off what made it work.

AITA travels farthest. Baltimore, formed September 2023 by drummer Josh Bosse and vocalist Patricia Bryan Ramón, filled out by guitarist Elijah Busse and bassist Justin Kuhl. Their 13-track debut album, Promises, dropped on Jan. 1, 2025. They have opened for Fitz and the Tantrums and won a Battle of the Bands. The calling card right now is their pop-punk reworking of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild,“ crunchy guitars and bold vocals bolted under a current top-40 hook. Useful shorthand for what they do: hear a melody that works, ask what happens when you put weight under it.

The 91’s are an Orlando trio. Danny on guitar, Mikey on bass, Rob on drums. They record, mix, and master everything in a home studio, and have been picked up by Spotify’s “Unsigned Pop Punk” playlist, which in 2026 is roughly what a college-radio break used to be, and which most bigger bands would quietly admit they would still take.

SWANYX rounds out the bill. Their public footprint is small enough that biographical detail could not be confirmed by deadline. Show up at 8:30 and find out, which used to be how anyone discovered anything anyway.
