Three candidates vie for Alachua County School Board District 1 seat

Three candidates — Janine Plavac, Gabriel Lopez, and Hunter Miller — are competing for the Alachua County School Board District 1 seat. Plavac has made rebuilding public trust in the district a central theme, Lopez is focusing on school safety, and Miller, a teacher at Howard Bishop, is campaigning on greater support for educators.
