GOP gubernatorial running mate Sean Lozano under criminal investigation in Broward County

Sean Lozano, who was named as GOP gubernatorial candidate James Fishback’s running mate in late June, is under criminal investigation after the Lauderhill Police Department referred findings from an internal affairs probe to the State Attorney’s Office for the 17th Judicial Circuit. The investigation stems from a March 2025 incident involving Lozano and a woman at a bus terminal, according to the internal affairs report. The State Attorney’s public information officer confirmed prosecutors are actively reviewing the referral through the office’s Public Corruption Unit.
